2007 CSTD Canadian Award for Training Excellence
Each year the Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD) recognizes exemplary Canadian workplace training and performance programs across industries. In 2007 CSTD honoured The Refinery with a Canadian Award for Training Excellence based on a program we designed for Cameco Corporation. The way we see it, this award is as much a testimony to our stubborn commitment to exacting standards as to Cameco’s equally stubborn determination to lead with courage.
At the Refinery we believe in holding the bar high for ourselves first, then helping others reach it. Achieving this level of performance isn't always easy, and, generally speaking, there aren’t any blue ribbons waiting for us when we’re done. Our rewards are engaged, satisfied people and thriving organizations. That said, being acknowledged by our peers for a job well done feels pretty good too.
